We achieved our dear Bangladesh of red and green through our victory in the War of Liberation in 1971. Afterwards, we had been deprived of our basic rights and rights of speech for a long time, and that deprivation rendered our freedom incomplete. Today Bangladesh has been able to make that freedom universal to all through the unexampled sacrifice and heroism of students and the common people.

With a view to celebrating this universal freedom through cheers of victory Dhaka Commerce College took the colors red and green as part of adornment along with new dreams and new cheerfulness. Dhaka Commerce College arranged different types of daylong programs in line with the spontaneous victory celebration of mass people’s joy of victory.

The programs of the day started with the national anthem along with hoisting the national flag and the display of flamboyant march past by the BNCC cadets. The day itself turned into a victory festival to all students and teachers through indigenous games and sports and pitha (cake) festival as part of the celebration of the Victory Day according to government directives.

Two high-rise academic buildings of Dhaka Commerce College were decorated with illumination. Professor ABM Shamsuddin, one of the founders of Dhaka Commerce College and

the former Principal of King Khaled Institute, was present as the chief guest in the bright and cheerful celebration of the Victory Day this year. Moreover, Professor Dr. Md. Abu Masud, the Principal of Dhaka Commerce College, Professor Abu Nayem Md. Mozammel Hossain, the Vice Principal Administration (Current Charge), Professor Dr. Kazi Fayz Ahamed, the Vice Principal Academic (Current Charge) were also present in the celebration program.

The program came to an end with the distribution of prizes among winners in indigenous games and sports and a spirited commitment of students in respect of safeguarding the independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh.
